Beatriz Valbuena is a Senior Programme Manager with more than 20 years of experience in humanitarian response and development programming across Africa. Since relocating to Kenya in 2013, she has worked in Somalia with INSO, MSF, Solidarités International, Doctors of the World, Concern Worldwide, WFP, and IOM.
At READO, Beatriz leads regional programme strategy across East Africa, overseeing multi-sector portfolio management, donor engagement, and organisational systems strengthening. She specialises in complex emergency response, accountability to affected populations, and consortium management.
Shirwac Abdi Ali is a Programme Management Specialist with over 13 years of progressive experience delivering complex humanitarian and development interventions across Somalia and East Africa. He brings deep expertise in governance reform, peacebuilding, food security, and community resilience in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
At READO, Shirwac leads programme direction across the organisation's 17 active projects, overseeing alignment with donor requirements, national priorities, and organisational strategy. He is recognised for fostering strategic partnerships with UN agencies, INGOs, and local institutions grounded in results-based management.
Mukhtar Jir is a Finance Manager with over 12 years of experience in financial management, strategy implementation, and process optimisation within the humanitarian sector. He has a strong track record of financial oversight across multi-donor portfolios, ensuring compliance with institutional requirements.
At READO, Mukhtar leads financial planning, budgeting, and reporting across 17 active projects. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and an Accounting Diploma, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree. His work underpins READO's commitment to transparent stewardship of donor resources.
Abdukadir Gaid Said is a Protection Coordinator with extensive experience in humanitarian emergency response across Somalia, specialising in GBV prevention and response and the protection of Children Affected by Armed Conflict (CAAC). He has held key positions with INTERSOS and the Trauma Counseling Center Organization.
At READO, Abdukadir leads protection programming across all operational areas, overseeing safe spaces, GBV response, and protection mainstreaming. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration and is pursuing a Master of Social Work.
Hussein Mohamed Hassan is a Project Manager with extensive experience in humanitarian response, development programming, and peacebuilding across Somalia and East Africa. His career spans roles with IOM and UN Women, leading initiatives on durable solutions, governance reform, and women's participation in peace processes.
At READO, Hussein manages multi-sector project portfolios, overseeing implementation, stakeholder coordination, performance monitoring, and donor reporting. He holds a Master's in Development Studies and a Bachelor's in Business Administration.
Zakaria Sanweine Ibrahim is a Project Officer with over five years of experience in humanitarian and development programming. He has served as MEAL Focal Person and Programme Officer across several organisations, contributing to WASH, Food Security, Health, and Nutrition interventions across Somalia.
At READO, Zakaria leads EU-funded resilience project implementation, managing planning, delivery, and performance monitoring. He brings strong skills in data analysis and dashboard development, and holds a Bachelor's in Economics and Statistics from Mount Kenya University.
Kassim Abdi Noor is a MEAL Coordinator with over eight years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, research, and programme management across Somalia and the Horn of Africa, supporting UNICEF, UNDP, FAO, IOM, and Save the Children.
At READO, Kassim oversees the organisation's MEAL systems ensuring programme data integrity and accountability across 17 active projects. He holds a Master's in Public Policy and Administration and a Bachelor's in International Relations, with proficiency in KoboToolbox, ODK, SPSS, and STATA.
Adan Kerow is a Project Manager at READO with experience in humanitarian programme delivery across Southwest Somalia, contributing to READO's operational presence in Bay and Bakool regions.
