Beatriz Valbuena

Head of Programs

Beatriz is a Senior Program Manager with more than 20 years of experience, based in Kenya since 2013. She has worked in Somalia since 2015 with INSO, MSF, Solidarites International, Doctors of the World, Concern Worldwide, WFP and IOM.

Mukhtar is an experienced Finance Manager adept in strategy implementation, financial analysis, and process optimization. He has over 12 years experience, providing financial expertise. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, accounting diploma, and currently pursuing a master’s degree.

Emergency Program Manager

Sophie boasts diverse experience in conflict zones and underdeveloped areas. With dual MAs in Cultural Policy and Social Psychology, plus a Peace Studies diploma, she’s led programs spanning elections, education, GBV, and more.

Abdukadir Gaid Said, READO’s Protection Coordinator, brings vast experience in humanitarian and emergency programs in Somalia. With roles in organizations like INTERSOS and Trauma Counseling Center Organization, he’s held key positions focusing on Children Affected by Armed Conflict (CAAC) and GBV response. Abdukadir holds a bachelor’s in business administration and is pursuing a Master of Social Work, enhancing his expertise in the field.

Hussein brings extensive experience in humanitarian, development, and emergency programs across diverse geographical areas. His roles with organizations like IOM and UN Women have focused on durable solutions, peacebuilding, and governance initiatives. With a master’s in Development Studies and a bachelor’s in business administration, Hussein is well-equipped to lead impactful projects.
